Where in the SWANA, MENA, and/or Levantine region are you/your traditionally tattooed family member from, and where in the region did they receive the tattoo?
*
If your family had a history of getting tattooed but stopped getting tattoos, why did they stop?
*
If not applicable, write N/A.
If you answered yes to the above, which generation did it stop at, and around what decade would you estimate that was?
The location of the tattoos on the body, approximate size, and the approximate age of you and/or your elder when they got it. If you are able to include any details about the symbolism, meaning, and history of where and who applied the tattoo, please include so below, as well as any other relevant information about the techniques used to apply the tattoo.

For example, I would answer based off the knowledge I have available about my Great Grand Teta-- she had a face tattoo in black ink, a line with dots on both sides, I'm not sure how many dots, but it resembled this, :|: under her lip down to her chin, approximately 2in long.
Be as descriptive about the tattoo if possible
If your family has not stopped the tradition of tattooing, please feel free to include anything you think would be helpful for documenting tattoo history in the Palestinian, MENA, SWANA, and Levantine region.
If you feel comfortable answering, what religious background does your family come from? Did/do they come from a village upbringing, or were/are they Bedouin?
