Pricing
To get a rough estimate of the cost of my labor, here is my secret formula
I stitch at a rate of about ~100 stitches/hour, and I charge an hourly rate of $25-30/hour, depending on the material, complexity, and timeline of the design requested. This hourly rate also reflects the intensive hand labor required to complete these intricate pieces, as I have arthritis in my hands.
If you know how many stitches are in the pieces you’d like to commission, divide it by 100 to get an idea of how many hours it would take, then multiply by my hourly rate. Remember though, this estimate is not accounting for the time it takes to plan the design, gather the materials, unstitching & redoing mistakes, untangling knots, etc.
